El Dorado Palms Seniors Get Prepared
Last Wednesday, October 9th, over 30 senior residents came together to learn about the importance of emergency preparedness and how to better prepare themselves and their pets for a disaster.
Two AmeriCorps members from the American Red Cross taught residents how to be Red Cross Ready, and a Health Education Specialist from San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control informed residents on how to prepare their pets and be responsible pet owners.
For this event, attendees also received essential emergency items such as whistles, first aid kits, and flashlights which were donated by Crown Ace Hardware and the Red Cross.
Thank you to everyone who made this event successful!
